Quality assurance in everyday projects

Formal quality, linguistic quality and collaboration: using assessments to support resource selection.

Formal checks: FQA

The existing OTM whitepaper distinguishes three assessment areas. Formal Quality Assessment (FQA) covers completeness, deadlines, compliance with instructions and formatting of a result file. The formal assessment takes place before the file is used for customer delivery.

Linguistic quality: LQA

Optional Linguistic Quality Assessment (LQA) records linguistic deficiencies and who contributed to the assessment: project management, the customer or a corrector.

Assessments help identify strengths, weaknesses and trends. They do not replace professional review or claim fully objective grading of every service.

Collaboration and resource ranking

Willingness to Work Again (WWA) records the project manager’s willingness to collaborate again, reflecting communication and business practices.

OTM combines assessments at file, job and resource level. Weightings can be configured in resource administration. Quality results and matching specialisations support selection when sorting by OTM rank.
