Why messages fail to arrive
No email service can guarantee delivery of every message. Server outages, network issues, size limits and rate limits can delay or block delivery. Spam filters, blocklists and incorrect SPF, DKIM or DMARC settings can also be involved.
Check the address and mailbox first
Check the recipient address for typing errors and ask the recipient to check spam folders and mailbox rules. A missing reply does not prove that delivery failed.
When reporting a delivery failure, provide the time, recipient and exact bounce message to IT or support. Avoid sharing unnecessary confidential project content.
Support reliable collaboration
LSP.net describes using a reputable SMTP relay to improve delivery rates. Acceptance by another organisation’s mail server remains outside the sender’s complete control.
For time-critical projects, actively confirm receipt of important information. Consider the project portal instead of large email attachments.
